Antonio Conte reveals when new signing Ross Barkley will be ready for first team games

Chelsea will have new signing Ross Barkley back from injury in a few weeks as revealed by Antonio Conte in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

The England international is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he incurred last summer and has been missing the entire first half of the season while with Everton.

After Chelsea went close to completing his signature last summer from the Goodison Park, in a deal that went sour in the end, the Blues finally managed to secure his services at the start of the January transfer window. However fears that he may be missing for a long while due to the severe hamstring injury, Barkley may be getting close to full fitness.

Quoted by Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, the Italian manager expressed his excitement in having the midfielder back in his first team, allaying fears Barkley may be set for a long layoff from from first team duties.
