Premier League top scorer raves about “magnificent, unplayable” Chelsea man

Premier League all time top scorer Alan Shearer has hailed Eden Hazard’s performance on Match of the Day, using the flagship BBC football show to lavish praise on the Belgian winger.

“He was unplayable at times – he was just magnificent,’ Shearer is quoted as saying on Goal.com. “Newcastle couldn’t get near him with his running with the ball or his running off the ball.

He’s not exaggerating. Hazard made the most of a midweek rest and returned at full power against the Magpies, shredding Shearer’s former team for the entire time he was on the pitch. He scored twice and set up countless chances for others. With some sharper finishing he would have had the hat-trick he deserved.

Chelsea’s busy run continues now with Atletico Madrid coming to town on Tuesday night, and Blues fans across the globe will be hoping that the maestro can keep up these magnificent performances.
