“We must learn to be more clinical” – Conte’s team shows what they must do

Antonio Conte has insisted that his side must be more clinical, and we saw last night exactly what he meant.

Without Alvaro Morata in the team, a front three of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian took their opportunities well and made a tough game in nasty conditions in Huddersfield look easy, despite a tricky start.

Tiemoue Bakayoko burst through on goal and forced the ball home, just as it began to look like the Blues were going to spend the 90 minutes impotently passing the ball around in front of their opposition as they had against West Ham.

When Morata returns, hopefully refreshed, we must hope he’s restored a bit of the cutting edge that made him so dangerous earlier in the season.

Conte’s team selection last night showed once again that Michy is just not an option. Morata has a lot of pressure on him to keep the team afloat.
