David Luiz is Sergio Ramos’ second choice for Real Madrid move

David Luiz is a powerful man at Chelsea, and we know all about his connections with Roman Abramovich. Sergio Ramos is an equally powerful figure at Real Madrid, he has the ear of his President, Florentino Perez.

Ramos apparently wants new blood at the back at the club, and according to Eduardo Inda, resident rumour expert on Spanish football show El Chirintuito, the defender has made clear who his preferred choice is.

According to the panelist, Sergio Ramos wants to play with Leonardo Bonucci, or with David Luiz – in that order.

Getting Bonnucci is going to be seriously difficult, as he only switched to AC Milan this summer. Luiz is a long shot too, but if he’s out of the team at Chelsea for the foreseeable future, and Real really do want him, perhaps a deal can be struck.

Considering the wealth of centre back talent Chelsea have, letting him go might not be the worst idea.
