Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata will return to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad on Saturday when the Blues take on Southampton.
The striker was unavailable in the Premier League champions 3-1 win over Huddersfield last Tuesday as attacking trio Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard tore their opponents apart.
The Spain forward was rested for the game after Conte revealed he had incurred a back injury after playing against West Ham United last weekend. In his absence, the Blues did not suffer much with the triumvirate attack played with so much fluidity, causing troubles in the last third of Huddersfield.
Despite Chelsea looking even better in attack without Morata, the Spanish forward will be welcomed back with glee by his head coach as Conte confirms he will play a part in the game against the Saints.
Conte on Morata's fitness: "He is better and he trained with us two days ago and also today. He has this pain in his back but he is in contention for tomorrow's game" #CFC

Morata is Chelsea’s leading scorer in the Premier League this season, with nine goals following his arrival from Spain last summer.
