Chelsea lose enviable Premier League record to relentless Man City

If Chelsea were a strong force last season, Manchester City have become an even stronger force this season with stronger performances and the look of a team who are not willing to settle for less at the start of this campaign.

On their journey to a more likely fifth title success, Man City are looking a dangerous side capable of beating even the top sides in Europe. After their latest victory over neighbors Manchester City on Sunday, Pep Guardiola’s side broke Chelsea and Arsenal’s record in the Premier League, for winning 14 consecutive games.

The 13-game record held by Arsenal for over 15 years, recently marched by Chelsea last season, was broken only one year after as Man City look champions-elect already.

The Gunners achieved their feat in 2001/02 while Chelsea marched the record in teh 2016/17 season, when the Blues won their firth title as well.

The win over Man United also ended the Red Devils impressive home record dating back to September 2016.
