Chelsea loanee posts impressive key passes stat and may get more chances

Mason Mount is impressing at Vitesse this season, as the stat below shows.

The midfielder is third in the league for key passes per 90 minutes, showing just how creative he’s been when he’s been given time on the pitch.

Sadly for Mason this isn’t as much time as he might have liked, but with numbers like this being produced it’s surely only a matter of time before he’s trusted as a full time starter.

What might also contribute to this is the pressure that the Vitesse manager is under. While he’s shown limited faith in the Chelsea loanee – perhaps to his detriment – if indeed he is replaced, the man who comes in to succeed him might have more of a tendency to pick the English youngster.

Charlie Colkett finds himself in a similar position in Holland, although having to compete with Mount is hardly helping him either.

Hopefully both with get more chances in the coming months.
