Chelsea face fresh opponents in battle to sign speedy Brazilian winger

Chelsea face fresh competition to sign Lucas Moura from PSG in the form of Valencia, according to French publication Le Parisien.

The Spanish side want to bring in Moura on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to buy. It’s a move that wouldn’t have seemed realistic just a year ago, but circumstances have changed on both sides.

Valencia have a wealthy owner in Peter Lim, and their current impressive run in La Liga might make him more inclined to spend more on the club. Meanwhile PSG have brought in so much talent that they don’t know what to do with it. Moura finds himself surplus to requirements despite an excellent season last time out.

Goncalo Guedes is on loan at Valencia from PSG now having a superb time of it in Spain. PSG might look to send some people to join him on the Mediterranean coast.
