Chelsea have drawn Barcelona in the Champions League last 16.
There were only a 3 teams available for the Blues to draw thanks to the successes of the other English teams in the group phase. While Besiktas would have been the easiest result for the Blues, Barcelona and PSG were always much more likely.
Things were given a big twist early in the draw as Real Madrid drew PSG, leaving the Blues with an almost certain matchup with Barca, the old enemy.
Having started their group so well with a thrashing of Qarabag and a superb win in Madrid against Atletico, the Blues then stuffed the rest of it up, losing heavily to Roma, and drawing with Atleti on the final matchday despite a host of chances to score and win the group.
Chelsea have plenty of history with Barcelona, and the rivalry is set to resume this spring.
