Chelsea desperate to sign Russia’s rising star before 2018 World Cup

Chelsea are eager to seal the deal to bring in Alexander Golovkin frrom CSKA Moscow before the World Cup as the Blues want to prevent a summer rush for the Russian rising star.

The Sun reports that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has identified the midfielder as a must buy next year as he seeks to provide Antonio Conte with as much ammunition as he requires in his battle to return the title, they seem to have to lost to Manchester City this season.

Golovkin has also attracted admirers from Arsenal with the report by the Sun claiming Arsene Wenger has asked his scouts to give him daily updates on Golovkin’s match day progress.

Chelsea will buy Golovkin but leave him to enjoy the rest of the season with CSKA ahead of the World Cup as Abramovich notes, he is Russia’s leading hope at the global tournament.

The deal is to allow Chelsea secure the services of the upcoming star, before he greets the world with stellar performances at the World Cup and attracts the attention of other big European clubs.
