It has become one of the likeliest outcomes after a Chelsea game recently. Tiemoue Bakayoko is always being targeted by Blues fans who seem to think he is not of the right quality to play for the club.
His latest showing came against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, after Antonio Conte deployed him alongside N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas. The Frenchman failed to help his side win against the Spanish giants but it was not entirely his fault, although the goal Chelsea conceded had come when he was slow to react to a second ball from a set piece.
Bakayoko was guilty of faulty passes in midfield as well as failing to do some of football’s basics including controlling a short pass. Well…
To best capture the frustrations of some Blues fans, lets sample the best tweets out there after the game on Tuesday.
Bakayoko dispossessed himself, then lost possession, then fouled himself #NotMyCM

I dont think bakayoko is even good enough for Vitesse tbh

When Ferdinand said Bakayoko doesn’t know which position he plays, I thought he was just joking. A waste of space for sure. His awareness is disgraceful.

Then there were those who hated Bakayoko comparison to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba…

Anyone who ever compared Bakayoko to matic or pogba needs to be arrested

Despite the apathy shown towards the summer signing, at least one fan believes he needs time to adjust to a new country and league.
Tiémoué Bakayoko clearly has talent, you can’t call a player a flop half a season into switching leagues and moving to a new country.

Although, we must agree nothing about a new country and league will do this to any new signing…a bit ridiculous.
