Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to seal contracts for two Belgium superstars

Chelsea may be readying themselves to losing two of their biggest assets in the next few summers to come if they don’t tie them down to new deals, but Antonio Conte has warned his club against any delays.

The Italian wants the club to show commitment in tying the two players to new deals. The Sun reports Chelsea will rather let Thibaut Courtois leave for free in 2019 than selling him next summer with interest from Spain peaking.

Courtois has until the summer of 2019 to leave the club for free with Atletico and Real Madrid monitoring his situation in London. Eden Hazard’s contract runs through 2020 and seems he is no rush to renew the deal but Conte wants to see them tied to new deals to prevent any transfer casualties.

“For sure, I will be very happy when they can have this deal but this is the responsibility of the club to try to do this.

They are both very young players and it will be great to keep them with us.”

Hazard has been instrumental in Chelsea recovery this season, after scoring five goals since recovering from his niggling ankle injury he picked up during the summer.

Courtois has been ever present in Conte’s Premier League match day squads this season as well as the Champions League, making him one of the Conte’s most trusted players in the Blues squad.
