Antonio Conte identifies Atletico Madrid’s biggest threat ahead of Champions League clash

Antonio Conte has pointed Antoine Greizmann out as Atletico Madrid’s main threat ahead of Chelsea’s final group game in the UEFA Champions league.

The permutations have been drawn ahead of Group C’s climax in the Champions League this season, with Chelsea having already qualified and Atletico Madrid needing favors elsewhere.

The Spanish giants will need to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and hope that Azerbaijan  side Qarbag will cause an upset in Rome, against AS Roma. Diego Simeone’s side are much changed since they lost at the Wanda Metropolitano to Chelsea in September, having turned around their fortunes in the Spanish La Liga, placing third after last weekend.

In the Champions League however, they will have to count on star players such as Antoine Greizmann to beat Chelsea on Tuesday and Conte has warned his players to keep an eye on the Frenchman.

“The situation has changed. Three games ago, there was a Griezmann problem because he didn’t score. Now he’s scoring.

Griezmann is a top player, a fantastic player, playing in a great team and showing he is a top player. We must pay great attention not only to him but to all the players.”

The 2012 champions will need a win over Atletico on Tuesday night to top the group or isk placing second and facing top placed teams in other groups, at the knockout phase.
