Chelsea youngster sets new record in Huddersfield win

Ethan Ampadu is now Chelsea’s second youngest player to play in the Premier League after he made a cameo appearance against Huddersfield on Tuesday.

The 17-year old is now the first Chelsea player in the current millennium to don the blue colors in the England top flight.

Ampadu was introduced on the 79th minute of the game to replace Andreas Chrsitensen, and slotted right into the center back position, helping the Blues to a win at the Kirklees stadium.

The former Exeter City youngster has enjoyed some game time this season in the EFL Cup but his appearance against Huddersfield was the first time he played in the Premier League, and it goes to show the trust Chelsea have in him at a tender age.

His notable contribution though, was a negative one after he forced his own goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois into a save, having failed to guide a headed clearance off danger.
