World Cup winner signs first Chelsea deal after rapid rise

Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed his first professional contract at Chelsea, securing his future at the club he joined at Under 8 level.

The attacker can play anywhere across the front line, and has excelled since the start of 2017.

This culminated in a dominant performance at the U17 World Cup in India, which saw Hudson-Odoi assist three goals in the final as he established himself as one of the gems in this record breaking England side.

The 17 year old is now tied to the club for three years, the maximum term that can be offered as a first professional deal.

After another year in the youth system, the youngster will be turning 18 next season, and could be sent on loan to Vitesse or another club where he can develop further.

It’s another big milestone in a massive year for Hudson-Odoi, who seems to be emerging as perhaps the brightest attacking talent of the next wave of Chelsea youngsters. By the end of this deal, Blues fans around the world will hope to have seen him make serious moves towards a first team appearance.
