Chelsea winger Willian has rejected claims he will be returning to his native country Brazil, to join Palmeiras.
The Chelsea winger has been out of favor at the club since last season, with Antonio Conte preferring to go with Pedro on the right wing, while Eden Hazard flanks on the left and Diego Costa or Alvaro Morata through the middle.
However, with formation change and player transfers, Conte has not needed his wingers in his starting 11 in recent games. Pedro has been benched since Chelsea switched to the new 3-5-2 system, further fueling the transfer stories surrounding Willian.
It’s worth noting that Willian still has over two years remaining on his current deal.
Sandro Barboza tweeted that Palmeiras were in negotiations with Chelsea over Willian’s transfer back to Brazil but the Brazil international quickly, yet politely rejected the news.
Oi Sandro, tudo bem?

Willian’s replies translates as,
Hello Sandro, everything all right? Sorry, but I’m not negotiating with Palmeiras and my agent has received no contact from the Club. I have no plans to return to Brazil right now. Hugs!
Hi Juca, everything all right? Sorry, but I don’t have the goal of returning to Brazil and I or my representative never spoke with anyone. This is nothing but speculation. Big hugs!
