“If I think of all the No.10s in the Premier League…I still have him as number one” – Jamie Carragher insists Chelsea forward is best in league

Chelsea have the best play maker in the Premier League despite the influx of hot talent to the country, according to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.

Hazard has been supremely impressive in his outings for the Blues since he arrived in England in 2012. His assists and goals have put gloss on an overall stellar career in the Premier League, characterized by flicks and tricks, leaving defenders for dead on the pitch.

This season, the Belgian play maker was out injured for large part of the season’s opening weeks although his return to form has stimulated Chelsea’s recovery to top form.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, believes Hazard is the topmost talent in the hole behind strikers in the entire Premier League, even better than in-form Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur playmakers Philipe Coutinho and Christian Eriksen.

“Chelsea have changed now, Hazard is playing like a striker. Chelsea star Eden Hazard: I’m fresher and sharper after injury lay-off. He had sort of gone off the radar because of his injury. I thought he was player of the season last year [N’Golo Kante won the award]. I thought it should have been him.

If I think of all the No.10s in the Premier League – [Mesut] Ozil, [Alexis] Sanchez, [Christian] Eriksen, Dele Alli and Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool – I still have him as number one.

I think he’s an absolute superstar. He was superb against Manchester United. But he’s finished it off with goals in this game [West Brom].”
