PSG hold the cards to Thibaut Courtois’ possible exit to Atletico Madrid

Chelsea could lose their first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as the Belgian is being targeted by Atletico Madrid who could lose their goalkeeper Jan Oblak to Paris Saint-Germain.

Courtois is one of the most sought after goalkeepers in the world after he established himself as a first choice shot stopper in Spain during his three year stint with Diego Simeone’s side.

His return to Chelsea has yielded emphatic results as the former Genk goalkeeper has won two Premier League titles and one FA Cup under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Courtois’ exit reports have been rife under the latter coach, despite being Conte’s undisputed first choice.

Sports Witness have revealed that PSG’s interest in Oblak will open up space at Atletico for a possible swoop for Courtois. Oblak has €100m in his release clause which will give Simeone’s side ample financial muscle to seek alternative world class options.

The report by Sport Witness also states the goalkeeper is content in England but is not entirely happy as he was in Spain.
