Michy Batshuayi responds to ridiculous ‘gay’ claim on social media

People will do anything for retweets these days, and one Twitter account even pretends to out footballers on social media for attention.

And Michy Batshuayi, the player in question, will not let it slide.

The Chelsea Daily account on Twitter tweeted that the Chelsea striker was gay and had come out to his teammates, to become the first openly gay footballer.

But the ever twitter-present Batshuayi quickly responded in a ridiculous way, denying the accusation without fuss.

Batshuayi has been struggling to break into the starting 11 of Antonio Conte since he signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2016 but has consistently looked lively at training and match days. His bond with his teammates is telling in behind the scenes videos and pictures, as he is always captured in good moods.

Its ridiculous someone can cook up such a story, but that’s the media world these days. Journalism has regressed and some folks just want unnecessary attention. It means nothing that the blog  came out with an apology hours after the tweet.
