Dujon Sterling today signed a new contract at Chelsea, tying him to the club long term.
Now 18 years old, he has reached a crucial stage in his development.
He’s old enough for senior football, and has the physique for it already. He’s dominated the game at every youth level and now it’s time for him to step up.
Congratulations to Dujon Sterling, who has signed a new contract until the end of the 2021-22 season. #CFC

It may mean sending him on loan, a risky move for young players as we’ve seen with Chelsea mixtures of hits and misses in that department. Things are going in the right direction for making an impact at Chelsea too: the youngster has made his debut this season in the EFL Cup and now has travelled to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag.
The advantage that Sterling has is that the way he plays down the right is exactly way Antonio Conte wants his players in that position to play. Sterling would have a hard time playing in a Jose Mourinho team, but filling in for Victor Moses is much more up his street.
