Goalmachine wonderkid makes another league start as Chelsea lie in wait

Alleged Chelsea target Jann-Fiete Arp made his second start in the Bundesliga today.

The 17 year old is a promising forward who’s been linked with clubs all over Europe in the last year, and he’s been scoring goals for fun the junior divisions.

Now he’s making the step up to senior football before his 18th birthday, which will only increase interest in his services.

Hamburg lost the game 2-0 to Schalke, but for their fans seeing their young star in action was as good as a win.

He’s already scored twice in his three appearances, and the price Chelsea will be paying if he does move to London is rising massively each time he finds the net.

When linked with the Blues in the summer the German U21 international said that it “wouldn’t make any sense” to move to Stamford Bridge at this stage in his career, and his decision seems to be vindicated so far as he’s getting more and more game time in the Bundesliga.

Perhaps once he’s established in his home country he might reconsider his decision to stay put.
