Cristiano Ronaldo set to snub Man United return in favour of shock Chelsea move

Chelsea were linked with a sensational move for Lionel Messi earlier today, and the speculation has proceeded to yet another height as Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly planning to snub Manchester United in order to leave Real Madrid for Chelsea next summer.

Earlier this week Spanish football site AS reported that Ronaldo is prepared to leave Real Madrid for good at the end of the season. Now Don Balon, a source certainly not known for its reliability, suggests that the 32-year-old’s next destination could be Stamford Bridge.

The source claims that the Portugal international is not sure whether Manchester United has the finances to bring him back to Old Trafford, and is therefore tilting to Chelsea’s way.

Cristiano Ronaldo could snub his former club Manchester United and choose to move to Chelsea.

After losing Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could as well be keen to bolster his attack with a world-class signing next summer. Ronaldo might not be a ‘one for the future’, but his last season’s tally of 42 goals really shows what he’s made of.

The report is very unlikely to have much truth to it, so we’d really suggest you to just take this as a pinch of salt.
