“If Chelsea want me…they’ll take me back” – Belgian star expresses openness to return to Chelsea

Chelsea have been given a lifeline in resigning one of their former loan army members after Thorgan Hazard insists his former side can pay his transfer fee and snap him up if they want to.

The younger brother of Eden Hazard was sold to Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2015 and has not failed to make an impression in the German Bundesliga since then.

He has scored five goals and assisted his teammates six times this season in all competitions, after featuring 14 times for Monchengladbach. With 18 months left on his deal with the German outfit, reports have began growing about a possible return to Chelsea if the Blues trigger a buy-back clause.

Thorgan told Onze Mundial, that he would welcome a bid from Chelsea in the coming windows.

“To be honest, even I don’t know if there is a buy-back clause. My father deals with that now. Sometimes, I hear there is one. Here [in Gladbach], I’m told there isn’t. Frankly, I don’t know.

It’s not that I don’t care, but I don’t think about it. I’m happy here. If Chelsea want to buy me back one day, I think they’ll do it, that’s not an issue. Actually, if there is or isn’t one, it’s the same, really. If Chelsea want me, they’ll pay for my transfer and they’ll take me back. It’s just a detail.”
