Chelsea receive news they could land big Bundesliga target for free next summer

It’s not often the Premier League wins battles with Barcelona and Real Madrid for a player they all want, but in this case, Bundesliga top talent Leon Goretzka has decided to play in England next season, not Spain.

This is reported by AS in Spain who say the two La Liga giants have lost out on the attacker, as Goretzka prefers a switch to England when is contract expires next summer.

He will be a free agent, which will be even better news for Chelsea fans who have been craving for a player of his ilk to arrive at Stamford Bridge.

The report by AS reveal Oliver Bierhoff, the general manager of the German national team, saying Goretzka has decided his future.

It’s Chelsea and Liverpool are are front runners for his signature. Jurgen Klopp’s reputation in Germany may sway Goretzka to Anfield but Chelsea’s determination to get him has also impressed the 22-year old.

This season, he has scored four goals in nine appearances from midfield for Schalke 04.
