(Image): Chelsea midfielder stays at the Bridge to train after Watford win

Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater has shown huge dedication to recover from his long-term ankle injury that has so far kept him on the sidelines this season.

The England international signed for Chelsea on the transfer deadline day, but is yet to regain his full fitness due to a major ankle injury. He’s closing in on his return, and has started to train more actively with the first-team.

After Chelsea’s well-fought 4-2 win over Watford on Saturday, Drinkwater remained at the stadium to train with the first-team coaches and a handful of Chelsea’s younger players who weren’t involved in today’s team.

Hopefully he’ll be back real soon to make his debut in Blue!
