€25m man looks to seize his chance to deliver to Alvaro Morata

Victor Moses is injured, and there’s only one candidate to replace him. New signing Davide Zappacosta.

The Italian has already started, and impressed, and even scored for the Blues, but only in rotated teams against Qarabag and Nottingham Forest. He will now get to play from the start with the first XI, and may get a decent run if Victor Moses’ hamstring issue is a serious one.

Zappacosta, who moved to West London €25m on transfer deadline day, will now get a steady chance in the first team and the chance to show Chelsea fans what he can do. He was good against Palace after replacing Moses in the first half, getting involved down the right hand side and playing 5 crosses in the time he was on the field according to Whoscored.

His ability to play balls from wide has been well noted, and when combined with Alvaro Morata’s sensational aerial ability, a winning forumla could be created.

Wednesday night against Roma could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
