Conte finally gives in to essential player one week too late

Before the Roma game, we called for Pedro to be returned to the starting lineup, but the forward was left out as Antonio Conte went with a 352 that proved ineffective.

When the Spaniard was brought on in midweek, the game changed and the Blues were suddenly able to push higher up and put some pressure on the previously dominant Italian team.

Conte finally got the message this weekend and started the World Cup winner against Watford, and he was rewarded in style.

Pedro has made a habit of scoring shots from outside the box when it matters, and  yesterday was no different. With the Blues under heavy pressure at home and the season really feeling on the point of collapse, the 30 year old appeared on the edge of the box to hit a spinning strike into the far top corner.

The Blues had the lead out of nothing, and it set us up for the rest of the game.

Pedro can now consider himself undroppable.
