Chelsea add another injury to worrying list

Victor Moses became the latest Chelsea player to suffer a hamstring injury yesterday when he was taken off against Crystal Palace before the end of the first half.

There has been some speculation that Antonio Conte is to blame for this, either through a lack of rotation or through excessive training regimes, but it seems a little early to call it that at this point. There’s still a good chance it’s just coincidence, and there’s no reason to start blaming the coach just yet.

Alvaro Morata’s issue was very minor and he looks set to only miss one game, while N’Golo Kante’s injury was picked up on international duty with France.

There is no official word yet on the severity of Moses’ issue, but when interviewed after the game yesterdat Conte didn’t sound too hopeful about getting the Nigerian back any time soon.

“For sure Moses is out because he’s injured. I don’t know if his injury is serious or not. I hope not,” the Italian is quoted as saying by football.london.

Davide Zappacosta came on to replace him against Palace, and now looks set for a solid run in the team.
