When John Motson revealed that he was going to retire at the end of the season, many Chelsea fans took the chance to fondly return to his summary of our game against Everton last season where we ran out 5-0 winners. The legendary commentator waxed lyrical about the “best Premier League performance” he’d ever seen, and complimented every aspect of Chelsea’s play.
His summary of our win at Stoke yesterday, which you can see below, isn’t quite as gushing, but does directly reference the Everton game, and warns the other top clubs to watch out for us this season.
