Antonio Conte has been speaking at the press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League group game against Atletico Madrid, and the Italian coach has picked out some unusual players as his Spanish opposition’s top threats.
While one might expect the Italian coach to fear Antoine Griezmann – third in the Ballon d’Or rankings last year – or even the deadly wing threat of Yannick Ferreira Carrasco who saw off Bayern Munich this time last year in the group stages, Conte has picked out two of Atleti’s young midfielders – Saul Niguez and Koke – for praise.
Conte on Koke and Saul:"We are talking about two great players. Saul is a young player but he can be a top player in the future" #CFC #UCL

There’s no question the pair are top class themselves too, and both are key parts of Diego Simeone’s machine, but they’re maybe not the first names that come to mind when the average Chelsea fan is having nightmares about being torn apart by a strong Atleti side.
Either way, it just goes to show that threat runs all the way through Simone’s side.
