‘Good opportunity’ for Chelsea’s youngsters confirmed by manager

Chelsea’s busy September continues with a midweek clash against Nottingham Forest tomorrow, and given Antonio Conte’s words in today’s press conference, the rotation we saw against Qarabag looks set to continue.

Asked about some of the group – specifically young Belgian attacker Charly Musonda and Brazilian wide man Kenedy, Conte was coy but clearly hinted that both would feature tomorrow.

“For sure tomorrow it could be a good opportunity for Charly, for Musonda and for Kenedy it is the same,” the Italian boss was quoted as saying.

Musonda was tipped to start against Qarabag – and his legion of fans in the Chelsea fanbase were excited to see him get a chance at last. It didn’t materialise and the 20 year old didn’t even feature on the bench. This time, however, the boss himself has hinted at a start for the talent, and even Kenedy – who was sent back from the Chinese tour for an offensive Instagram and was denied a late loan move to Newcastle – may get to pull on the royal Blue again unexpectedly.
