Diego Costa on shock trip to Turkey to complete loan move

Chelsea striker Diego Costa is heading to Turkish top flight club Fernabache for a six month loan deal according to Hurriyet.

The forward has been out of Chelsea’s first team since June after Antonio Conte sent him a text insisting Costa will not be part of his team this season.

Costa took matters into his own hands and stayed away from Chelsea’s preseason tour as well as joining his teammates for the start of the season. He was not present for Premier League games against Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

He was chased by his former side Atletico Madrid all summer but Chelsea played hard ball and did not want to sell the player unless he respected his contract and returned to train with his teammates.

Having missed out on returning to Spain, the 28-year old striker is on his way to Fernabache on a loan deal to January.

The report by Hurriyet reveals the Turkish giants will be paying 75% of Costa’s salary during the loan spell.

Costa is keen on a return to Ateletico but wants to keep playing football as next year is a World Cup year.
