Chelsea loanee almost ready for Premier League return

You might have thought that the Brighton weekly press conference would be devoid of news for Chelsea, but there was a nugget of interest from Chris Hughton.

The Seagulls boss confirmed that Izzy Brown, who suffered a hamstring injury that paused his season almost as soon as it had begun, is almost ready for action. He may even start this weekend, although given Hughton’s natural caution it seems more likely he’ll start on the bench.

Brighton have hardly shone in Brown’s absence, so it shouldn’t be too hard for the attacker to force his way back into the side. He can hopefully regain his place and build some momentum and fitness up as we head through this busy period of fixtures.

Kasey Palmer, whom Brown joined on loan at Huddersfield last term, is also currently out of action with an injury, although he should also be looking to make a return to top level action before too long.
