Chelsea have completed a protracted deal to sign Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
The midfielder joins from the midlands and will link up with old teammate N’Golo Kante, who made the switch last summer. The pair were key to Leicester’s shock Premier League win in 2015/2016, and Antonio Conte will be happy to have further depth to make up for the departure of Nat Chalobah and Nemanja Matic from the club.

27 year old Drinkwater has been left out of Leicester’s squad this season as he tried to force a transfer, and he even handed in a formal request this week to show his intent. He came through the Man United academy and made a series of loans as he looked to establish himself before finally settling at Leicester in 2012.
Since then he has made 193 appearances in the Championship and Premier League for the foxes, and won a league winners medal in the process.
