Pat Nevin tells Chelsea fans which Premier League legend Alvaro Morata could end up like

Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has compared new signing Alvaro Morata to Liverpool great Kenny Dalglish.

The Blues had to pay up to £58m to complete the deal to land the striker from Real Madrid, following their failure to sign Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku was pursued by Chelsea the entire summer until he finalized his move to Manchester United, later calling it ‘his dream move’ to a ‘big club’.

Morata on the other hand was thought to be Antonio Conte’s second choice, and only turned to the Spanish forward when his side lost out to Jose Mourinho’s Man United for Lukaku.

Morata, began his Blues career in devastating manner when he missed a penalty on his competitive debut against Arsenal in the FA Community Shield.

Nevin, on the other hand, tells Chelsea fans to wait for real talent to settle at Stamford Bridge.

Morata is adaptable. I’d have him every day of the week. He has the power, he has the natural finishing instinct and he has the movement as well.

The ones who have mega-intelligence but have the other stuff as well… there are not a lot of them about. Like Kenny Dalglish and John Aldridge.

Pat Nevin, Sports Review

Morata started the game against Tottenham Hotpsur on Sunday but was replaced by Michy Batshuayi late in the second half.

He scored his first goal in Chelsea opening Premier League game against Burnley last weekend.
