Chelsea plotting move for top Serie A striker before deadline day

Chelsea are still interested in signing Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer and will make a bid to sign him before transfer deadline day per the Daily Star.

Belotti has been a long term summer target for Antonio Conte although the Blues have been linked to several top strikers across Europe including Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku who astonishingly signed for Manchester United, despite a late bid from Chelsea.

The Italian manager is not convinced by Michy Batshuayi according to the Daily Star and is ready to add more quality upfront.

He sanctioned a deal to buy Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid after missing out on Romelu Lukaku but is ready to push Chelsea’s top officials to make another bid for a striker.

Morata scored one goal and assisted another in Chelsea’s 2-3 defeat to Burnley on Premier League opening day after replacing Batshuayi.

Chelsea are also interested in signing a midfielder and defender as they close in on deals for one of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Drinkwater with several reports also linking them to Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk.
