Chelsea in advanced talks with top Brazilian defender’s agents

Chelsea are in talks with the agents of Juventus full back Alex Sandro and are luring the player to push through for a move to leave Italy according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The defender is high on Antonio Conte’s list of players he wants at Chelsea this summer despite landing Alvaro Morata, a player he worked with at Juventus, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger from Roma and Willy Caballero.

Marcos Alonso has flourished in that department since he was trusted by Conte to fill  the left wing back role last season, but Conte wants competition for the Spanish defender and Sandro, who helped Juventus to the Serie A title is his priority.

Di Marzio says Conte has charged Chelsea’s chiefs to speak with Sandro agents, in a bid to lure the player force his way out of Juventus.

That looks unlikely though as the player is not in a hurry to leave the Turin giants having been a major part of their success since moving from Porto in 2015.

Di Marzio also reveals in his report that Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah is also not likely to leave Juventus as the club still rate him very highly.

Chelsea are expected to keep pushing Juventus to complete the deal for the attack minded defender as they continue to build a competitive squad for the new season.
