Ruben Loftus-Cheek will finally get the Premier League loan his development has been crying out with a move set to be sorted out shortly.
Crystal Palace are the club looking to bring the Englishman in, with a deal expected to be completed within 24 hours according to the Telegraph.
The 21 year old only made 6 appearances for the champions last term, and after years of promise it’s universally agreed among Chelsea fans it’s time for him to try and make it at a team where he will hopefully be able to appear regularly.
Palace have not made a signing yet this summer, and Loftus-Cheek will hope that their attentions are focused on their defence and forward positions, leaving a clear path for him to establish himself in the first team early on.
One of the chief problems with RLC’s development so far has been his failure to establish himself in one position, sometimes appearing in defensive midfield and sometimes on the wing in his various sub appearances for Chelsea over the past few seasons. Hopefully new Palace manager Frank de Boer will help him work out where he fits best in the modern game.
