Chelsea have a shocking new transfer target according to AS journalist Manu Sainz, and the player is Manchester City hotshot Sergio Kun Aguero.

The journalist tweeted on Sunday that Chelsea have expressed interest in signing the Argentina international and Pep Guardiola has given the thumbs up for the deal.

The Blues have been searching for a top class striker with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang subject to a £63 million bid from Chelsea while Antonio Conte keeps monitoring the situation at Real Madrid, as he prepares to bring in Alvaro Morata, according to reports.

Italian Serie A new sensation, Andrea Belotti has also been linked to Chelsea as the hunt for Diego Costa’s replacement intensifies with the new season’s start very much close.

The new report from the Spanish newspaper’s journalist will cause a stir for the remainder of this summer trasnfer window. Man City have flaunted Aguero as the Premier League’s best striker and it will be a painful sight for City fans to see in him in Royal blue.

Guardiola, however, holds the cards. He has brought in Gabriel Jesus, has maintained faith in the Brazilian young forward and seems keen on playing with one striker upfront, which means Aguero will be relegated to the bench.

The situation has caught Chelsea’s attention and are preparing to make a bid for Aguero who they will start regularly upfront alongside Eden Hazard and one of Pedro or Willian.

Aguero has scored 169 times in just 253 appearances since he was signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
