Italian job on the cards for Diego Costa as striker searches for a new club

Jorge Mendes is pushing for his client Diego Costa to land a new club as soon as possible and apparently is could be AC Milan who would get the striker according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

‘I’m going to be honest, the other day, Conte sent me a message saying I am not in his plans for Chelsea, so I’ll have to find a way out,’ Costa revealed earlier in the summer.

This was text message from Antonio Conte to Costa that started the entire drama this summer. Costa knowing he isn’t needed at the club made sure to alert other top European clubs.

Atletico Madrid, his main option after leaving Chelsea, are not in a position to trade in this summer transfer window, and with hopes of playing at the World Cup next year, Costa will want to play more.

As reported by Gazzetta delo Sport, AC Milan, who are reportedly linked to Andrea Belotti of Torino, have shown interest in the 28-year old and have began talks with Mendes to secure the services of Costa, Radamel Falcao and Renato Sanches.

Costa though will not mind staying out for the next six months without playing, if it means he will sign for his boyhood club Atletico.
