Forgotten Chelsea Frenchman to depart Stamford Bridge

Forgotten Chelsea striker Loic Remy will leave the club this summer according to “Breaking” news from Sky Sports.

The forward joined Chelsea from QPR after a successful spell with Newcastle on loan, but never really made an impact in the first team, playing a little under Jose Mourinho but never being able to supplant Diego Costa in the first team. He was on loan at Crystal Palace this season and was unable to really make an impact there either.

There are various rumours about his future, with several Premier League clubs linked with the former Marseille man, including newly promoted Brighton and former club Newcastle. His finishing ability has made him a danger, but successive injuries have probably reduced his effectiveness overall.

Despite the likely departure of Diego Costa, Remy has been unsurprisingly deemed surplus to requirements at the Bridge.

Remy has 32 league appearances for the Blues, scoring an impressive 8 times.
