Out of favor Chelsea defender set for Huddersfield switch

Chelsea defender Abdul Baba Rahman is set to leave the club for a season long loan deal to Huddersfield according to multiple reports.

The out of favor left full back signed for Schalke 04 on a one year loan deal last summer, but was soon injured afterwards while on international duty at the African Cup of Nations in January.

The Ghana international suffered a knee ligament tear and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

He has now appeared a target for Huddersfield who were promoted to the Premier League and are eager to find quality first team signings ahead of the new season.

Newcastle and Everton have also in the past been linked with Rahman but David Wagner has emerged hot favorite for his signature.

Baba Rahman was signed by Chelsea in 2015 from German Bundesliga side Augsburg after an excellent showing that season making 31 appearances.
