Diego Costa wants Chelsea stay but Conte has ‘had enough’ of striker’s bad behaviour

The start of preseason has meant a slew of new information about the ongoing Diego Costa saga as players have returned – or not in the striker’s case – to training at Chelsea.

It was already made clear by reports in the Spanish press yesterday that Costa would not be back at Cobham today, and that he only wants a move to Atletico Madrid, but Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol is not reporting that the Brazilian would happily stay at Chelsea until January when the Spanish club’s transfer ban ends.

The issue is now Conte, who understandably doesn’t want to allow the troublemaker back into contact with the squad, where he can potentially cause further issues for the manager and the team as a whole.

It’s all rather confusing given how often Costa has indicated he wants to leave London, and one can only hope that the issues are sorted out within the next week as preseason reaches a critical phase.
