Chelsea target Alvaro Morata has decided his future

Chelsea have suffered another big blow in their search for a new striker after Alvaro Morata decides to stay at Real Madrid according to Marca.

The striker has been chased by Chelsea all summer and particularly after Romelu Lukaku chose to join Manchester United.

Antonio Conte will need a striker to replace Diego Costa next season after the Spaniard revealed the Italian tactician sent him a text he was no longer needed at the club.

This has put Chelsea in deep search for a replacement but have their backs against the wall as Costa now holds the cards and has chosen o leave but only to Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish giants have a transfer embargo on them, a situation they failed to change following their failed appeal to CAS.

Costa’s certain departure tough will create space Chelsea need to fill and with Morata’s decision to remain at the Santaingo Bernabeu to fight for his place, Chelsea will now turn their attention to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Morata scored 20 goals last season, his best tally as a professional footballer with of them coming against La Liga opposition.

He is set to have a frank conversation with Real boss Zinedine Zidane who is is willing to let the 24-year old stay to put up stiff competition upfront for regular starter Karim Benzema.

Morata joined Real’s squad on their trip to the USA to prepare for next campaign, further hinting he is ready to remain with the La Liga and Champions League winners.
