Chelsea get FA Cup revenge with confident win

Chelsea got revenge for the final fixture of the 16/17 season with a confident win in the first of 17/18, beating Arsenal 3-0 in Beijing to launch their second term under Antonio Conte.

The Blues were on top from the start, and should have taken the lead even earlier than they did when Michy Batshuayi’s goal was incorrectly ruled offside.

It didn’t make any difference however, as the Blues went one and then two goals up in quick time through Willian and Batshuayi.

The Belgian striker added the Blues’ third and what should have been his hatrick. Alvaro Morata has not yet linked up with the squad but he is already fighting for his place in the starting lineup it would appear.

Jeremie Boga had an extended cameo after Pedro was clattered by David Ospina and left the pitch with a suspected concussion, and the Frenchman made good use of his first appearance in a Chelsea shirt for some time. Also impressive was Cesc Fabregas, who ran the game against his former club.
