Antonio Conte tells Chelsea to land Romelu Lukaku at any price

Romelu Lukaku should  be a Chelsea player at all cost, no matter how much it costs the club to land him, according to Antonio Conte.

The Telegraph says Conte has told Blues chiefs the Belgian attacker is his main target for the position upfront after Diego Costa leaves this summer.

Everton maintain a strong stance to keep Lukaku or sell him for a mammoth fee, and as reports go, Chelsea may have to dish out £100 million to land their former striker.

Conte admires the 24-year old a lot after his strong performances last season, scoring 25 Premier League goals, challenging Harry Kane all the way for the top scorer gong.

That feat was his most prolific in English football since he was secured by Chelsea in 2011, going on to make 10 appearances without scoring.

His loan stints at West Brom and Everton, where he scored a combined 32 goals, showed his potential with several clubs bidding for his signature.

The former Anderlecht forward is Everton’s highest ever scorer in the Premier League with 53 goals, making him almost indispensible to the club.

Conte believes Lukaku can live up to any price and has made him his prime target ahead of Andrea Belotti and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
