Antonio Conte reveals ‘great respect’ for fifth possible signing

After Antonio Conte revealed his Chelsea side may not be done yet with transfers this summer, many players have been linked including Antonio Candreva.

The Inter Milan midfielder is a target of Conte who reportedly has been monitoring his situation in Italy.

However, when quizzed about the possibility of the Italian midfielder joining Chelsea this transfer window, Conte simply brushed off the talk but insisted he has respect for the player.

It’s not correct to speak about the player of the other team. I know that this period is in the period of the transfer market.

Candreva is Inter’s player and I have great respect for him, for his team and also for my players.

“The links with are nice, but there’s been absolutely nothing to date. The club will take care of any bids that may come in.”

Following a move from Lazio to Inter last summer, Candreva has made 45 appearances for the Nerazzuri, scoring eight goals and registering eight assists.
