Antonio Conte reveals his dream striker

Antonio Conte and Chelsea may have recently acquired the services of Alvaro Morata for a fee rising to £70million but the manager has another striker in his mind, who he thinks will be an ideal buy for his club.

Harry Kane won the Premier League top scorer award but that’s not the only reason Conte admires him. The Italian tactician calls Kane the ‘complete striker’ who gets involved in everything on the pitch.

The Premier League champions will not make a bid for the £100 million-rated attacker, but Conte believes Kane – with all his attributes – deserves that price tag in a bloated transfer market.

For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world, If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane.

He is a complete striker. He is strong physically with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left. He’s a complete player. If you go to buy Kane now, it would be at least £100million. At least.

For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker. Dele Alli is another top player, young.

Antonio Conte, Guardian

Kane has made 165 appearances for Spurs in all competitions scoring 99 goals and his 29 goals in 30 Premier League appearances made him the most lethal striker on English soil last season.
