Antonio Conte has been enjoying his holiday after a successful season with Chelsea, but with the team’s first fixture of 17/18 under their belt, the manager has begun putting the pressure on the board to make further signings to strengthen the squad.
In a lengthy and revealing interview with the Mail, whose most pertinent lines are quoted in the tweets below, the Italian manager made it abundantly clear that he is still not happy with his squad, and that he needs further additions to a squad that has been seriously eroded over the last 12 months by player departures.

One hint that tantalised Chelsea fans was his indication that there may be a new signing imminently, with the team travelling to Singapore for the next leg of their tour:
“In Singapore, Rudiger and Morata will arrive, maybe someone else”
In the world of football transfers, those words alone were enough to spark a thousand speculative articles.
