Chelsea youngster Izzy Brown will join Brighton on loan this season, the South Coast club confirmed today.
The young Englishman had a great spell in the Championship last term at Huddersfield having arrived from Rotherham in January.
However his Blues teammate Kasey Palmer has already joined the Terriers on loan, and their promotion to the Premier League thanks in part to the efforts of the pair means that only one of them was able to return to Yorkshire.
The 20 year old ended up with 5 goals in the Championship, although he was lucky that his horror miss against Reading in the Playoff final didn’t end up costing his erstwhile team a place in the top flight.
Brown joined Chelsea from West Brom as a promising 16 year old, but has yet to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. A spell in the Premier League – hopefully one where he features regularly – is just what he needs to move his career forward.
